See what awaits you at this year's Motovun Film Festival:
In serious times, we definitely need a break from the hard everyday life, and this year the Motovun Film Festival offers that as well. This cult festival was created in 1999 and since then it has been attracting visitors with an excellent selection of films, concerts and the beautiful scenery offered by the picturesque town located on a hill in inner Istria.
What does this year's Motovun film festival offer us?
On July 26, the festival embarks on a five-day journey through more than a hundred productions in the car of the chaotic family from the film Put pod noge, the debut of Panah Panahi, the son of the most famous Iranian director Jafar Panahi. Awarded at numerous prestigious festivals, this cheerful work will remind many of the favorite Little Miss Sunshine. It will only be an introduction to one of the most attractive Motovun editions so far, it was announced at the presentation of the program in Zagreb's KIC, which was also attended by the authors of the Croatian films in the program. "We really don't remember when we had a main program with so many award-winning titles. In addition, we need huge screens, because our screens are getting smaller every day, we also need someone to talk to about what we watched, because movies are made to be watched together. We need fun until dawn and a carefree summer movie adventure. Seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist, in a year like this he would most certainly prescribe Motovun for you", said festival director Igor Mirković.
